Health, Safety & Environmental Director
In his position as HSE Director Tom Hough coordinates the programs and processes that drive Doyon Universal Services’ outstanding HSE performance. Tom is also responsible for managing workers compensation and return-to-work concerns, coordinating HSE-related training, auditing regulatory compliance and management system performance and providing DUS staff with HSE-related data. He has been a Doyon Universal Services employee since September 2000.
Tom worked in a variety of public and private emergency response systems during his 25 years as a Nationally Registered EMT-Paramedic. Tom has also served as a vocational and university educator, a university student affairs administrator and a quality assurance manager. He earned his Master of Education from the University of Central Oklahoma in 1996 and his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Florida in 1975.
Tom has volunteered for many years with the American Heart Association and the American Red Cross. He is a member of the American Society of Safety Engineers and is certified as an Associate in Risk Management by the Insurance Institute of America and as an Associate Safety Professional by the Board of Certified Safety Professionals.
